We also got from the data a little information about what sold in December.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><span style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/comichron.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/201804-Action1000-3.jpg\" alt=\" See eBay listings for this book\" width=\"208\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1600\" data-original-width=\"1041\" \/><\/span><\/div>\n<p>To no one&#8217;s surprise, April&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebay.com\/sch\/Modern-Age-1992-Now\/900\/i.html?_from=R40&amp;_nkw=Action+Comics+1000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><em>Action Comics<\/em> #1000<\/a><\/strong> was the top-selling comic book to comics specialty shops in 2018, and <a href=\"http:\/\/shrsl.com\/1e47b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><strong><em>Infinity Gauntlet<\/em><\/strong>,<\/a> a 1991 release, was the top-selling graphic novel. The one December entry in the comics top ten is clearly going to be the #1 comic for December: <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebay.com\/sch\/Modern-Age-1992-Now\/900\/i.html?_from=R40&amp;_nkw=Batman+Who+Laughs+1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><i>Batman Who Laughs<\/i> #1<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/comichron.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/InfinityGauntlet-3.jpeg\" alt=\" Find this book at TFAW\" width=\"208\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"384\" data-original-width=\"250\" \/>Meanwhile, there&#8217;s a split decision on annual sales: Diamond reports that annual dollar sales of comic books were up 2.04%, that graphic novel dollar sales were down 8.22%, and that combined comics and graphic novel sales were down slightly for the year, 1.08%. <i>(<b>Update<\/b>: These figures are based on corrections Diamond made to the <b><a href=\"https:\/\/diamondcomics.com\/Home\/1\/1\/3\/597?articleID=222991\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">original release<\/a><\/b> on Friday, Jan. 18, and replace earlier reported figures believed to have been reflective of a broader dataset than that which appears with the monthly charts.
