The final sales report for October is now out from Diamond Comic Distributors<\/b><\/a>,
\nand the sales estimates have been calculated here at Comichron. There’s a problem upstream from us at the moment so we’ve temporarily posted the sales figures at the bottom of this post. (Update: Service has apparently been restored: you can click here to see the sales estimates for October 2015<\/b><\/a>.)<\/p>\n

With the Marvel relaunch, fourteen titles topped the 100,000-copy mark: thirteen Marvel issues plus Batman<\/i><\/b>.
\nThat’s the largest number in six figures since 15 titles in May 2007.
\nThe peak number of six-figure titles in the 2000s was 19, in July 2006,
\nin the midst of Marvel’s Civil War<\/i> event. Two titles, Invincible Iron Man<\/i><\/b><\/a> and the re-re-relaunched Amazing Spider-Man<\/b><\/i>, topped 200,000 copies.<\/p>\n

As
\nnoted here Friday<\/b><\/a>, while Marvel’s performance was very strong \u2014 its number of copies ordered within the Top 300 comics was its highest since
\nDecember 1996 \u2014 the overall market was off owing to a much smaller
\nnumber of new releases in the month from almost all publishers. Part of
\nthat is due to the calendar, but not all.<\/p>\n
