{"id":5324,"date":"2010-12-18T00:58:00","date_gmt":"2010-12-18T00:58:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2020-08-01T17:37:49","modified_gmt":"2020-08-01T22:37:49","slug":"flashback-friday-nyt-on-heroes-reborn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/comichron.com\/blog\/2010\/12\/18\/flashback-friday-nyt-on-heroes-reborn\/","title":{"rendered":"Flashback Friday: NYT on &#8220;Heroes Reborn&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: right;\"><\/div>\n<p>No time for a longer flashback today, but with the <i><b>New York Times<\/b><\/i> moving much content back behind a paywall in January, now is probably a good time to search for any of those comics articles you&#8217;d like to see before the change.<\/p>\n<p>I was amused to find an <a href=\"http:\/\/select.nytimes.com\/gst\/abstract.html?res=F60E13FD3A580C738FDDA00894DE494D81&amp;scp=7\"><b>interview with me from September 1996<\/b><\/a>, back when Marvel was launching &#8220;Heroes Reborn&#8221;: the story mentioned that I was &#8220;compiling the industry&#8217;s first long-term data base.&#8221; (Actually, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comichron.com\/monthlycomicssales\/1996\/1996-09.html\"><b>September 1996<\/b><\/a> was the first month that I had published monthly estimates for the industry, so I really was just getting started!)
