October 2003 was topped by the second issue of the long-awaited Avengers\/Justice League crossover \u2014 though in a sense, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Avengers\/JLA #2<\/span> was actually the first issue with that name. (Following past practice, the publisher actually printing and distributing the issue got top billing \u2014 and Marvel and DC alternated publication on this series.
