{"id":5965,"date":"2008-04-30T23:16:00","date_gmt":"2008-04-30T23:16:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2020-07-28T03:09:02","modified_gmt":"2020-07-28T03:09:02","slug":"iron-man-sales-history-across-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/comichron.com\/blog\/2008\/04\/30\/iron-man-sales-history-across-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Iron Man sales history across time"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: right;\"><i><span style=\"font-size: small; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">by John Jackson Miller<\/span><\/span><\/i>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/comichron.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/IronMan1-1.jpg\" \/>I did this last year for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comichron.com\/titlespotlights\/amazingspiderman.html\"><strong>Amazing Spider-Man<\/strong><\/a> when the third movie came out in response to media inquiries; now, I have plunged ahead and listed all the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comichron.com\/titlespotlights\/ironman.html\"><strong>Iron Man sales figures<\/strong><\/a> from Statements of Ownership that I have found, from 1980 to 2003. <\/p>\n<div style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span id=\"dnn_ctr990_MainView_ViewBlog_lstBlogView_ctl03_lblDescription\"> <br \/>\nI can&#8217;t locate my copies from Volume 4, so if anyone can dig those out, please post what you find in response. And while I went through most of the likely  issues, if anyone can find anything from before 1980, please post it. I  don&#8217;t think they ever ran any in the 1970s, which is bizarre,  considering it was offered by subscription the whole time. I&#8217;ll have to  ask <strong>Len Wein<\/strong> about it some day \u2014 he was editing it for a while in there.<\/p>\n<p>I do intend more of these lateral  title-centric tables, but after I get some more of the annual tables  onto the site. I am up past 2,470 Statements in my database now.
