\nOne of my various hobby projects has been helping Maggie Thompson<\/strong> get her fanzine library established on her new MaggieThompson.com<\/strong><\/a> site. Harbinger #1<\/strong> and Comic Art #1<\/strong> from 1960 and 1961 respectively are there \u2014 and now, she’s posted the first ten issues of Newfangles<\/em> from 1967 and 1968<\/strong>.<\/span>

Scan quality varies with the originals \u2014 some of the newsletters are faded \u2014 but you can see
\nAnd relevant to the interest of The Comics Chronicles<\/strong>, issue #7 includes the entry noting when Don and Maggie’s obsession with sales figures began<\/strong>. The second page notes the circulation statements from 1967 comics (as seen on Comichron<\/strong><\/a>) and speculates on the fate of Batman<\/em>, both on television and on the racks.<\/p>\n

There’s a lot of interesting stuff in these old fanzines \u2014 check back for more as she gets more posted!<\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n
